In our experience, the quality of the attorney's examination varies directly with the amount of economics or statistics s/he knows. Unless counsel has attained at least a general knowledge of the expert's area, the questions s/he poses -- on direct and re-direct, on cross-examination, and even at deposition -- will not be as penetrating and as effective as they might otherwise have been. The goal of each of our courses is to provide participants with the analytical tools they need to handle expert testimony well.
